Day to Day Itinerary | General Itinerary | Prices

Day 1: Bangkok-Bang Pa In-Ayutthaya-Sukhothai (Meals: L, D)
Leaving Bangkok in the early morning, you reach Bang Pa In, once the Royal summer residence, which features of a collection of several buildings built in Western, Chinese and Thai styles. Proceed then to visit the ancient Capital of Ayutthaya and visit the most important monuments, evidence of the greatness of the bygone time when Ayutthaya was said to be the most splendid city in Asia and one of the biggest in the world. You visit the most important temples such as Wat Ratchaddanaram, Wat Phra Sri Samphet,  Wat Mahathat and Wat Yai Cha Mongkol. Lunch is served in a traditional residence by the river. Later in the afternoon, you reach the historical city of Lopburi, once an important Khmer town and for a brief period, Capital of Siam under the King Narai The Great, here you visit the Phrang Som Yod, a splendid temple in khmer style and the Narai Palace. Then, driving across the central regions, you reach Sukhothai in the evening. Dinner at hotel
 
Day 2: Sukhothai-Lampang-Chiang Mai (Meals: B, L, D)
Breakfast at hotel. The full morning is dedicated to discover the historical park of Sukhothai, the first capital city of the kingdom of Siam, regarded as one of the most beautiful sites and listed in the World Heritage of UNESCO. You proceed then to visit the nearby historical park of Sri Satchanalai, further example of the greatness of the Sukhothai’s age. Lunch is served in a typical restaurant near the park. Later, a short drive takes you to Lampang, a picturesque city famous for the production of pottery and ceramics: here you visit the majestic temple of Wat Lampang Luang. You reach then the Rose of the North, Chiang Mai. Dinner at hotel
 
Day 3: Chiang Mai (Meals: B, L, D)
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, you visit two of the main temples of the Capital city of the Lanna Kingdom, such as Wat Suan Dok, Wat Phra Singh, featuring exquisite northern design. A short drive takes you to Doi Suthep, where is located the splendid temple of Wat Doi Suthep, commanding an amazing view on the valley of Chiang Mai. Lunch is served in a orchid farm where you can enjoy the view and the scent of the symbol of Thailand. Proceed then to reach the artisan villages of Borsang and Sankhamphaeng, famous for their wonderful production of handicrafts in wood, silk and rice paper. A traditional Kantoke dinner with a folk show and a walk among the shops of the night bazaar end the day
 
Day 4: Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai (Meals: B, L, D)
Breakfast at hotel. You leave in the early morning to reach the elephant camp of Chiang Dao, where you can watch the elephants training for their work in the jungle and enjoy also a funny elephant trekking, followed by a relaxing rafting on a traditional bamboo raft. You proceed then again by road to reach the village of Ban Ya Pa where you meet a group of ethnic minorities, including the famous Padong Long Neck. A further short ride takes you on top of Mae Salong where you visit the village of Santi Khiri, built by Chinese Soldiers and now featuring a rich tea plantation. Finally, you arrive in Chiang Rai in the late afternoon. Dinner at hotel
 
Day 5: Chiang Rai (Meals: B)
Breakfast at hotel. You leave in the early morning to reach the area of Sop Ruak, where is located the famous Golden Triangle and where you can visit the interesting Opium Museum. Proceed then to Chiang Saen where you can visit the ruins of the first Capital of the Lanna Kingdom. After this final visit, you reach the airport to board on the flight back to Bangkok.
